Hey music friends. Were back this week with a slightly different shout out on a band who have recently completed their first EP and are hoping to gain some exposure to help get them out and about gigging and touring. We would like to welcome you to “Exits Exist”.
Exits Exist is three Brisbane based guys who come from a technical metal style background. Brendon Lee and Matt Thompson met at a factory job. Matt Thompson was in a band (Veiled In Flesh) with Adam Casey. Brendon Lee was an acoustic solo artist at the time Exits Exist formed. Their love for music and science really allowed them to jump right onto the exact same wavelength instantly.
They all come from years of intense music theory training and experience but the reason they came to be Exits Exist is because they were all at the same place in their music timeline as each other and as they all grew tired of non stop metal and their urge to use their knowledge of technical metal for a cleaner and more fluent sound was pushing them all in the same direction.
Brendon and Matt are home recording veterans. Brendon goes towards the garage punk side of music while Matt is more of a clean cut timing machine so the results of them coming together are very unique. Adam’s ability to write vocal melodies match his vocal range which allows him to utilise metal influences to create a unique sound in its own.
