It’s been a while but we’re back again with Mosh Pit Monday. Time to feature a new band and some new music. Today I’m featuring a Brisbane based groove metal band called Spherian.

Matching the intense rhythms of djent and progressive metal with deep washes of ambiance, Spherian were founded in January 2012. Playing many gigs around Brisbane like The Tempo Hotel in Fortitude Valley and The Beetle Bar in Brisbane,  the band is looking forward to completing the line up to jump back into the live scene. Spherian have big plans for their next EP release.

Band members, old and new, are Aaron Caughey (creator/producer/rhythm guitar – current member), Ash Dwyer (lead guitar- current), Brandon Mamata (singer- old member), Oskar (bassist – old member) and Jack Cavanagh (drummer- old member). The guys are looking forward to recording a new EP and getting new band members in place.

Back in late 2016 Spherian released an instrumental EP called “The Darkest Journey”.  Some wicked grooves and an original sound, I’m sure you’ll love Spherian and you should keep an ear out for when they’re next playing at a venue near you.

You can follow Spherian on Facebook. Youtube, Bandcamp and Reverbnation.

Stay tuned for more Mosh Pit Mondays to come.
