Mosh Pit Monday
Hello and welcome to another week of Mosh Pit Monday. Still cool here in the land downunder and the whole house, including me, has been under the weather with colds and flus. So sick of being sick. Bring on spring! Haven’t been doing much music wise because of all the flu fighting (that’s ‘flu’ fighting not ‘foo’ fighting) I’ve been doing so I’m keen to get back into it. Less than a month to go until I get married for the first time in my life and while I’m super excited about it, I’m a little bit nervous of all the formalities. Can’t wait for the day but also I can’t wait for it to be over and live my life as a married man to a beautiful woman.
This week I’m sticking with the #AllAussieAugust theme and heading to Melbourne, Victoria to feature a hard hitting, heavy metal, Three Storey Goat who have been around since 2012. It just goes to show the depth of heavy metal talent in Australia with bands like Three Storey Goat. They’ve broken away with traditional metal to create a unique sound which compliments every band member’s style of playing.
Band members are Jarryd Trask on rhythm guitar, John Drysdale on lead guitar, Lawrence O’Doherty on bass guitar and Max Walker on drums. There’s some kick ass guitar riffs coming from this band sometimes with a nearly melodic vocal from the days of old style metal. A really unique sound that the guys have formulated. The guys are working on some new songs at the moment, which I can’t wait to hear and they’ll be ready for gigging. Hope they make their way up to Queensland. I’d love to catch them live.
Here’s an older Youtube clip of the guys performing “Nine Lives” live at The Espy in St Kilda, Melbourne. I can’t wait to hear more from them. Keep in touch with the guys by following them on Facebook, Twitter, Soundcloud and Reverbnation. Good luck guys and keep rockin’!
That’s it for another week of Mosh Pit Monday. Hope your week is a good one and keep on moshin’.
