Welcome to another week and Mosh Pit Monday. For those following along at home, I’ve been making great progress with the landscaping around home and I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Instead of looking forward to our actual wedding date of the 12th of September, I’ll be looking forward to the 13th when it will be all over and we can sit back and relax.

There’s talk between us about visiting the famous reef break at Teahupo’o in Tahiti for our honeymoon, pending our financial situation. It’s been a dream of mine to see that for real. Whether I get the guts to surf it when I’m there is a different story.
In keeping with the #AllAussieAugust theme, I’m keeping Mosh Pit Monday in Australia again this week, this time featuring an alternative rock band, The Winter Effect out of Thirlmere, south west Sydney. These guys really know how to rock out a good tune in a similar style to Tool, Birds of Tokyo and Foo Fighters. Band members are Brandon Davies on guitar, Tom Bergman on drums, Eddie Granger on bass and Peter Mikhaiel on vocals.
The guys have released their debut single, Turning Point. An eery, beautiful melodic tune with some cool guitar riffs, harmonious vocals and soothing sound effects.
Check it out! I can’t wait to see what else the guys have got in store. They’ve been securing a few gigs on the local circuit and I can only see great things for this young bunch of guys. I think they’ll go far. Keep up the great work guys!
