Mosh Pit Monday
Welcome to another week and Mosh Pit Monday. Did someone mention it was cold? Did someone mention it was winter? You wouldn’t have thought so these last 2 days. Glorious warm weather that felt like Spring was around the corner. Spent Saturday jamming with a mate and working in the garden. Forever working in the garden.
Been wheeling and dealing my guitars, again, and started the week with a $100 guitar and some second hand music gear that wasn’t worth much at all, to then basically swap for a Jackson Kelly KE3. I have to say my guitar collection is now complete. (I have to say that. The fiance is reading this. A guitarist can never have enough guitars, right?)
This week I’m sharing another Aussie band. This one, The Outcome, stems from my home town, Coffs Harbour, New South Wales and have been around since 2006. I’d been long gone from Coffs in 2006 but wished I’d still lived there to catch these guys. A heavy metal band that’s been supporting some pretty big local and international acts for a while now, they don’t mess around with genres or try to be anything else but hardcore with evil riffs, howling vocals, kick ass drums leaving you wanting more.
The band members are Trent Hunter on vocals, Tristan Waddell on drums, Greg Wilson on guitar, Graeme Wright on guitar and vocals and Tommy Wainwright on bass. The guys have been through some good times and some bad but have remained intact for near on 10 years, juggling work and family commitments but remain commited to the band and each other.
Their latest self titled EP, has some seriously good tracks and the above track “Breaking Ground” is as good as any international metal act around at the moment. You can hear the rest of EP here. If you’d like to follow The Outcome you can do so on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Youtube. Hope they get to Brissie soon. Keep up the good work guys! ,,,/ ,,,/
Hope your week is a good one. Keep moshin’. ,,,/ ,,,/
