Mosh Pit Monday
Welcome to another edition of Mosh Pit Monday. Happy Easter for yesterday. Hope you had a good weekend celebrating, if you do, or just enjoying the time with family. I managed to meet up with family from interstate including my elderly grandmother who I hadn’t seen for quite a few years.
I noticed I reached a bit of a milestone yesterday and reached 1,000 followers on Twitter! Numbers don’t mean anything to me but when I started this online journey I didn’t have a clue anyone out there would ever find out about me let alone follow me and read what I’ve got to say. I’m eternally grateful!
Seeing as I’ve got so many fantastic followers on Twitter, I’d like to share one of them with you today. Among the Betrayed are an alternative metal band out of Richmond, British Columbia, Canada and they rock. They’ve only been together since 2012 but are doing great things in the world of metal music.
Their latest EP release, “The Need To Make A Change” was produced by Chris Hollywood Holmes (Veer Union, Korn, Ashley Tisdale).  Maximus (on guitar) says “it’s simple. We do it because we love it! We don’t go to rehearsal just to practice, but to expel our demons.” I can totally relate. That’s exactly what happens every time I walk into my recording studio. As soon as I pick up my guitar and start jamming, any failures, bad feelings or ‘demons’ that are lingering are soon expelled. I totally get these guys. As well as Maximus on guitar, there is Nikki Omen on vocals, Monty on drums and Steve-o on bass.
One of their songs that really stays with me is “Leading on Me”. I could totally relate to the lyrics. They are a fantastic bunch of guys that really work well together and a band to watch. If they ever get downunder, I’ll be there, front and centre, moshing it out. You can follow Among The Betrayed on Facebook and Twitter and check out their website for more ways to follow them and listen to some of their other tracks.
I’ve got today off and then I’m back into the swing of things with work but have been working on lyrics to a few of my tunes. Hopefully it won’t be too long before I’ll get to finish a whole song, from start to finish. Have a great rockin’ week. ,,,/ ,,,/
