I bought this Ibanez RGR421EXFM guitar secondhand from a local pawn shop store for like $170.00 I think. As soon as I saw it, I had to have it. Being a fan of Ibanez guitars, a big fan of Joe Satriani and Fletcher from Pennywise, I always felt that Ibanez guitars have this ‘thing’ about them. As for this model, I like the style, with a super smooth neck, the reverse head, the pick ups, the colour, but mainly because the sound I got for metal and the punk stuff I like to play. I have Ernie Ball Beefy Slinky 11 – 54 gauge strings on all my guitars. I find I can still get a nice high end sound with the low end well and truly covered as I like to tune from B through to standard E tuning.

I would recommend this guitar and any Ibanez guitar for a great music creating / playing experience.

I have this guitar tuned for standard E and Dropped D tunings.
