Welcome to another week of moshing and Mosh Pit Monday. Was a bit quiet as far as the mosh pit goes this week. My home town of Brisbane was hit by yet another storm which isn’t unusual for my part of the world but they usually hit pretty bad in summer and we’re only just at the end of Spring. Check out some of the video footage below.

And this is what happened at the train station across the road from The Crowbar, the venue for the final of the Reign Havok Battle of the Bands final we were due to see the night of the storm.
Obviously that same water made it’s way into The Crowbar so the gig was cancelled. We’re just waiting to hear when it will be rescheduled and hope that we get no more storms for a little while.
I’ve been working on a few riffs for my upcoming “Looking Into The Darkness” project and I thought I’d share one with you.
I also wanted to share this song, “Wrong Side Of Heaven” by Five Finger Death Punch, a band that will be appearing at next February’s Soundwave Festival. I’ve seen them in concert before and they really rock. It’s got a terrific message about the serious problems returning service men and women face in every day life. Not enough is done to recognise these men and women and what they do so that we can live a life of freedom. Can’t wait to see them next year.
Speaking of Soundwave, this is the highlight of my music calendar. I’ve been the last few years and have seen bands like Metallica, Green Day, Pennywise, Korn, Linkin Park, Slayer, Marilyn Manson Slipknot, Bullet For My Valentine and many, many more. This year the event will go for two days which my partner and I will attend. I’ve started a countdown at the top right hand of my page. I’ll be featuring some of the bands I’m looking forward to seeing on Mosh Pit Monday in the lead up to the event.
In the meantime, hope you have a music fuelled week of moshing and rocking and fingers crossed we get to see our gig this week and no storms. Peace out!   ✌
