Hi to all our fellow musicians out there in the world of music. We are back this week with another shout out of a damn good Aussie Death/Groove metal band rising from Brisbane, Queensland, Caetera.

Caetera Band - Review www.foreverfallingshort.com.au

Caetera was formed back in 2011 with what I would say was to become a recognised force in the Brisbane and Australian metal scene. The band released a 2 song demo at the 2013 Bloodline Festival. The band also released 2 videos in 2013 ” Eviscerate” and “Insania” that had some very positive feedback.

The band were still as charged as ever to get more material out though went through a period of time trying to find like minded musicians to bring their current release to fruition. Original band members Adrian Rosa (guitars/vocals) and Jackson Price (guitars/bass) hit the studio and recorded their debut EP in late 2016. The band brought on board King Parrot’s powerhouse drum demon Todd Hansen to record the drums for the EP and recorded with Nick Carpenter at CORE Studios on the Gold Coast.

Caetera’s debut EP “Echelon Oblitus” was released at the end of 2016.

Official Music

The above video clip “Forces of Hate” is a sample of what you can expect from the latest EP.

The bands current lineup is Adrian Rosa (Guitars/Vocals), Jackson Price (Guitars), Alex Brierley (Bass) and Trent O’Neil (Drums). The band has played several gigs over the course of 2016/2017 and are always out to support the music scene. They have had the opportunity to support acts like Hadal Maw and play various music festivals around south east Queensland and northern New South Wales.  If you ever see the band advertised to play I would suggest you get along to see how these guys play music and metal especially.

To keep in touch with Caetera, you can follow them on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Youtube and Bandcamp. A great example of the type of metal coming out of Brisbane and Australia.
