The band is fronted by lead singer Jake Solway, who was previously a drummer for “Road to Ransome” and wanted to get up in front with vocals.  Jake says,

As you could imagine, I’m very excited. I began writing demos for this band in 2015 and it’s my first time going through the entire song writing process, so it’s been a huge learning process for me. I was fortunate enough to have some very talented people on board for the project. The musicians, producer and video director (Third Eye Visuals) are all excellent people and amazing at what they do, so it’s safe to say this would be a very different band without them.”

Supporting Jake in this new venture are Patrick Heaton on bass, Carly Sinn on drums and Dylan Cottee on guitar.

Debut Single “See Your Face”

“See Your Face” is an easy to listen to, catchy tune with a good balance of pop rock and alternative blends. With influences such as Fall Out Boy, Blink 182 and Sum 41, Joy in Motion’s music is bound to appeal to the masses.

I’m a little biased when it comes to Jake and Joy in Motion. I personally know Jake from Facebook groups we’re both in and when he put the call out looking for a young girl for his video clip, our stepdaughter took on the role. Jake and all the members of Joy In Motion are a top bunch of talented musicians and we wish them every success. We got a behind the scenes look of the video shoot and they are a professional, first class act. I’m eagerly awaiting the release of the debut EP and I suggest you get in early to grab your copy.

You can follow the band here on Facebook, Instagram, Youtube and Twitter. You can grab the single “See Your Face” on iTunes and pre-order your copy of the EP here on Bandcamp.

Best of luck guys!
