Stockholm

Well, hi there! Welcome to the new look Forever Falling Short and Mosh Pit Monday. It’s the same great place where I like to share new bands and new music but we’ve just had a bit of a makeover. We’re still ironing out a few design issues, ie where we’d like to display information and what sort of information we want to display. We want Forever Falling Short to be your one stop shop for all things music, surfing and skateboarding. We feel like this is a fresh start and onto bigger and better things for us. Glad to have you here again this week.

This week I want to rock you with a great band I’ve just discovered All the way from the biggest and best ‘rock city’, Detroit USA and Kaleido. It’s already 4th of July here in Australia and although we don’t really celebrate it, I thought it’d be good to feature another fantastic band from the US. (I understand my step daughter is hosting a 4th of July party for us tonight so I’m going all red, white and blue.)

Kaleido are a 5 piece rock outfit who have been around for a couple years. They quickly took over the Detroit rock scene with several awards and plenty of touring. Up front is vocalist Christina Chriss, Joey Fava on drums, Cody Morales on bass, Ronnie Rosolino on guitar and Jamie Allen Burnham on guitar. With a sound like a cross between “Guns’N’Roses and No Doubt”, Kaleido have established a style all unto their own. With an easy to listen to rock beat and a unique sound, Kaleido are well worth a listen to.

New Single

Their latest single “Love and War” features Dryden Mitchell from Alien Ant Farm and is getting rave reviews. They’ve played at gigs like the Van’s Warped Tour, Rockstar Uproar Festival, Summerfest & CMJ Music Marathon and have opened for acts such as Aerosmith, Slash, Sammy Hagar & Chickenfoot, Kid Rock, The Offspring, Evanescence, Halestorm, Chevelle, Skid Row, Tesla, Twenty One Pilots and recently toured with Alien Ant Farm.

If you want to keep in touch with Kaleido you can follow them on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. If they’re touring near you, you really should check them out.

So until next week, Happy 4th of July from ‘downunder’ and remember, keep moshin’. \,,,/ \,,,/
