Mosh Pit Monday
Welcome to another Monday and another week of Mosh Pit Monday. Great news folks! Forever Falling Short is getting a facelift. My website is moving from Blogger, where it is currently hosted to WordPress over the next week and although the website address will remain the same, FFS will have a whole new, clean look. Bit like me I guess over the last 5 years. Time for a refresh and as FFS grows, so too will the website. There’ll be heaps more music reviews, my music, stories of recovery and hope and plenty of other great stuff. But in the meantime, let’s get down to some serious moshing with this fantastic Aussie metal band.
Hollow World are a melodic death metal act from Melbourne, Australia and have been around since late 2012. In November 2013, they released their first 5 track EP “Beneath the Frozen Sky”. This was followed up with their single “Silence” in 2014 before their drummer Karl Steller left to pursue his own career. In 2015, with the release of their first music video “Valley of the Ghelgath”, the guys have been regulars on the local music scene and supporting some pretty big named acts.
Band members are Ben Roberts on vocals, Michael Truscott on guitar, Theo Goslett on guitar/backing vocals, Josh Hynes on bass and Michael Hodgson on drums. One of the tighest groups on the Australian metal scene, Hollow World have the sound to prove it. They recently supported Brisbane band, “Chronolyth” on their Atrophy tour which gave the guys some great exposure.
Besides Ben Roberts nailing the vocals, the melodic metal tones coming through with the strong double kick drum beat, Hollow World are to be compared to any of the other great melodic death metal bands in the world. Keep up the great work guys. Looking forward to catching you live next time you’re in Brisbane. You can follow them on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Bandcamp and Youtube.
There’ll be a few announcements in regards to future Mosh Pit Mondays etc in the coming week with regards to my move to WordPress. Hope to see you there. Until then, keep moshin’. ,,,/ ,,,/
