Mosh Pit Monday
Another new week and another Mosh Pit Monday. What a hectic week! Started an additional position with the company I work for and it was a little crazy. Lots to learn and sink in. I didn’t stop all weekend with my on-call position. Not much time to do anything else. Updating my version of Cubase with a new hard drive and it’s been nothing but problems. That’ll teach me to start these jobs at 9pm at night when all business are closed. Hopefully I’ll get it all sorted this week and back to recording some music.
It’s funny how you get to find out about new bands and great music. I was getting shown around in my new job and a co-worker mentioned his brother was in a band “Noose for a Necktie“. When I got home and checked them out, yet another amazing talented hardcore metal band from my home State. Noose for a Necktie are based on the Gold Coast, Queensland and I’m not sure how long they’ve been together but they sound bloody excellent.
According to their Facebook page, band members are Darcy Carlos on vocals/guitar, Jacob Rentoule  is on guitar 2, Filip Vanes on his guitar, the drummer is William Dunn and (I’m guessing) Tim Joske plays the bass.  The guys are continuously getting a lot of gigs on the Gold Coast which is great.
In July 2014, the guys released an EP and one of the tracks is “Table of Cards” above. Some serious growl going on and wicked guitar riffs, the guys have got a great sound. You can keep up to date with the next performance by following them on Facebook, Youtube and grab their EP on Bandcamp. I should really get down to the Gold Coast and check them out or hopefully they’ll get up my way soon. Great stuff guys!
It’ll be head down, bum up for me this week. Hopefully I’ll get back on air soon. Hope you all have a great week and keep moshin’. ,,,/ ,,,/
