Mosh Pit Monday
Welcome to Monday and another Mosh Pit Monday! Well, I am proud to say last week was focused around music and getting my mosh pit on (not that I got in the mosh pit this time) but we headed out to The Tivoli Theatre in downtown Brisbane for the Pennywise gig. Even though heavy metal is my favourite, Pennywise are one of my favourite punk rock bands and I’ve been following them since my younger days. Not only were the guys celebrating their 20th Anniversary tour, I was really lucky to get to see Anti-Flag out of Pittsburg PA who were just awesome. Homegrown band Local Resident Failure from Newcastle started off the show. It was a really great night. This week will just top off a good couple of weeks when we see Parkway Drive in town. Stay tuned for a review on them. Looking so forward to it.
Until then I’d like to introduce you to an Aussie band out of Adelaide, South Australia, Sealed Our Fate. Just after their last live performance playing alongside popular deathcore legends Chelsea Grin, the guys are set to hit the stage yet again for their second tour in Indonesia!
Despite only joining the local metal scene last year, the quartet have soared over the last twelve months, building an impressive following and a unique sound incorporating influences from a wide variety of genres. Following the recruitment of lead vocalist Scott Veal in early January, the recording and release of debut EP Welcome to Armageddon immerses listeners into a memorable plethora of heartfelt melodic and heavy musical tracks, influenced by lead guitarist Oscar Chambers classical and blues training consolidated with Scott’s previous experiences in the heavier realm of metal.

Although drummer Aaron Goldsworthy and the Chambers guitarist twins avidly study full-time, the consistency of releasing new content proves unwaverable, with the recent single and music video release ‘Heartbreaker’, connecting strongly through every listener who can empathise with heartbreak. However the sweltering pace doesn’t stop there. Compositions for a second EP are currently underway, with arrangements of being back in the recording studio on the horizon. Band members are Oscar Chambers on vocals/guitar, Aaron Goldsworthy on drums, Barney Chambers on bass/backup vocals and Scott Veal on scream vocals.  A band that looks like they have jelled well since forming mid 2014.
The Australian and international metal scenes will expect to see more of Sealed Our Fate as time permits, with future visions incorporating further music videos, tracks, and epic tours to both America and Europe. So keep an eye out for the latest updates and details from Sealed Our Fate via their Facebook, Twitter, and Youtube accounts!

Until next week, have a great week in music and keep moshin’! (Will see if I convince the wife to get in the mosh pit at the Parkway Drive gig.)
