Mosh Pit Monday
Welcome to another week of Mosh Pit Monday and a cold one at that! We’ve been experiencing some pretty cold weather in this part of the world and normally we don’t. It’s hard to get moving and the fingers don’t want to work like I would like when it comes to playing my guitar. Hopefully we’ve seen the end of it. I hate the cold!

The ‘other half’ has me working (when I should be playing guitar). We’re fixing up the area where we had recent drainage works completed and doing some landscaping. I don’t have a clue what I’m doing. It’s just all trial and error. Hopefully it will all be done soon and I can concentrate on making music again. Heaps of work to do because I’m finally getting a band together. More to come on that shortly.
This week I’d like to introduce you to a fantastic band I’ve just gotten into. Cause In Affect are a 3 piece alternative metal band out of Brisbane, my home town, and they go off! They formed in 2009 and are already making a name for themselves on the local tour circuit. In the same vein as Tool or Killswitch Engage with a little bit of Pink Floyd thrown in for good measure, Cause In Affect are an original act with wicked grooves and boisterous riffs.
Band members are Chris on guitar, vocals, keys, synth, effects; E-Man on bass, backing vocals and Nick on drums, backing vocals. The guys are about to embark on a nationwide tour in conjunction with the release of their new single “Divine” during August and September 2015. For the last two years, the guys have been working on a ‘rockumentary’ titled “Yet To Be Written” which has just wrapped up and gets up close and personal with the guys as they wrote and recorded their second album and what goes on behind the scenes when you’re trying to put an album together.  Worth a look if you’re at the same stage in your musical career.
This is the first single off their new album “Divine”, a great track. I can’t wait to hear the rest of it and hope to catch them live at one of the upcoming gigs. If you want to keep track of Cause In Affect’s busy schedule, you can follow them on Facebook, Twitter, Soundcloud and Youtube. They really are worth following. Another great band to come out of Brisvegas.
Hope it’s not too cold (or hot) in your part of the world. Can’t wait for it to warm up here so I can hit the beach for a surf again and get really motivated to spend some night time hours in the jam room. Have a great week and keep moshing! ,,,/ ,,,/
