Mosh Pit Monday
Gidday and welcome from ‘downunder’ and another great week of moshing with Mosh Pit Monday. It was a busy week of playing ‘nurse’ to my sick other half. She had come down with some pretty bad fevers and a really bad cough. I waited on her hand and foot (cough, cough). Well I did what I could. Poor thing was pretty crook. I still managed to work on the jam room with new carpet which I picked up for free (photos coming soon I promise) and did a bit of reorganising. I also picked up a midi keyboard for a great price so adding another dimension to my music. I’m no Elton John but will give it a red hot go. I also had a mate over to check out what happens here at Forever Falling Short so it was cool to catch up with another muso. This week is going to be a good one. I’m all set for finalising some of my tunes and getting ready to put words to some of them. Stay tuned!

This week I’d like to introduce you to a some friends of mine all the way from Brazil. Setfire are truly on fire and are a five piece thrash metal band who have been punching out some heavy tunes since 2009. They’ve been a great support to me over on Twitter which I’m forever grateful for. I’ve been checking out some of their stuff and it’s freakin’ fantastic.
Setfire BR Thrash
The boys are located in Sao Paulo, Brazil and band members are Artur dos Anjos on vocals, Daniel Balbinot on drums, Klemer Santiago on guitar, Fernando Ferre on guitar and Felipe Jeronymo on bass. If you like the hard metal thrash similar to bands such as Pantera, Lamb of God or the other famous Brazillian export, Sepultura, Setfire won’t disappoint. The guys have received critical acclaim around the world for their original lyrics and individual sounds, touching on everyday issues in this sometimes hard world we live in.
Check out one of their songs “Envy Shit” from the EP “Deserted Land”. Its as good as any heavy metal song out there. If you want to stay tuned to what’s on the Setfire agenda, you can follow them on Facebook, Twitter, Reverbnation and they have their own Youtube channel. I’d love to catch the guys in Aus sometime. Thanks for the support guys! Love your stuff. You rock ,,,/ ,,,/
