Mosh Pit Monday
Welcome to another week of Mosh Pit Monday! The best place in town to hear of new, different and upcoming bands that I’ve stumbled across or who someone has put me onto. Just another week passed me by with some progress made with recording and putting the word out for other musicians to come on board with recording. Still having some ‘teething’ problems with CuBase which I’m sure I’ll work out as time goes on.
During the week I was put onto a band called Upon a Burning Body and if it’s deathcore metal you love, look no further. Upon a Burning Body are my kinda band. I’m shocked I haven’t heard of them before because they are everything I love about music and lyrics. Hard kick ass metal and meaningful lyrics that I can totally relate to.
Out of San Antonio, TX and formed in 2005, the band members are Danny Leal on vocals, Sal Dominguez on guitars, Ruben Alverez on guitars, Ray Martinez on bass and Tito Felix on drums/percussion. These guys really rock. Having already achieved a great world wide following and with many albums under their belt, they really have stamped their mark on the death metal scene.
Their latest studio release “The World is my Enemy Now” features some hard and heavy tracks including the track “The World is my Enemy Now”. The lyrics and message hits you hard in the face. I can totally relate to all the tracks on this album and the demons I face every day. I’m so glad I’ve found these guys and they’re now on my playlist. Having played such gigs as the Vans Warped Tour, I’m hoping they get down under really soon because I’ll be first in line to get tickets. You can follow them on Facebook or Twitter to stay in touch with what they’re up to next.
Stay tuned for more reviews on great music from all around the world. PS the first track from my new album has been cut with more to come. Have a great week in music and rock on! ,,,/ ,,,/
