Mosh Pit Monday
Welcome to another week of Mosh Pit Monday and what’s been a really quiet week of music for me. I contracted a really bad virus which put me off my feet for a good week and I didn’t get around to any live gigs. I missed the third round of the Reign Havok Battle of the Bands at The Crowbar last Wednesday night and can’t wait to get there this Wednesday night.

There’s also been some conference on and getting around Brisbane has been pretty hard with road blocks etc so I’ve been happy to stay put until it’s all over.
Just so I keep you all in the loop, the bands on show last Wednesday night were Endless, The Dirty GenesParticles in Motion and Dameena. Particles in Motion were the winners on the night and you can check out their new single “Oceans” here. I can’t wait to see them in the final.
This week is a big week for live music in Brisbane. One of my favourite metal bands, Trivium are playing at The Tivoli and are being supported by In Flames, also another one of my favourites. It’s on the same night as the fourth round of the Battle of the Bands and as much as I’d like to see Trivium, seeing the new bands fight it out for $5 per head is a lot more within my budget at the moment. I like listening to new music and discovering new bands. There’s always such an element of surprise when you see them and you never know what you might find.
This week’s line up at The Crowbar include Yarout, Xens Arrival and Consider Me Heartless. I’ll let you know who the winner is next Monday. Fingers crossed I’m well and truly over this virus and get out and about to see some hardcore, live metal gigs.
Feel free to link up your Facebook page, Twitter account, music sites or Youtube clips here at Mosh Pit Monday. I’ll share them for you across all my social media channels. There were nearly 300 visits to the Mosh Pit Monday post last week so a lot of people will be looking at you here, on Facebook and on Twitter. Have a great week and remember ,,,/ ,,,/!
